Terms & Conditions

Effective 1 January 2026.

1. Acceptance of terms

By purchasing a ticket through this site you accept these terms and the additional rules posted at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal and on board.

2. Tickets

3. Boarding

Ferries operate in accordance with Transport Canada Marine Safety and Security Regulations. Crew members may refuse boarding in the interest of safety. Caregivers are strongly encouraged to bring lifejackets for infants weighing less than 15 kg.

4. Schedules and disruptions

Sailing schedules are subject to weather, ice conditions and operational requirements. The City of Toronto will use reasonable efforts to maintain published schedules but assumes no liability for cancellations, delays or service changes. In the event of a service interruption that prevents your sailing, tickets may be honoured on the next available sailing or, at the City’s discretion, refunded.

5. Conduct on board

Passengers must comply with crew instructions, posted safety notices and City of Toronto by-laws. Smoking, vaping, open consumption of alcohol and unleashed dogs are prohibited on the ferry vessels.

6. Lost tickets

If you cannot locate your confirmation email, please contact Client Services at 416-396-7378 with the email address used at purchase. We can resend the original receipt.
